The League of Women Voters of Piedmont will host an event on the credibility and mechanics of election polling with Amy Simon, a founding partner of Goodwin Simon Strategic Research. This free event will be live-streamed on the LWVP YouTube channel from 4:00-5:00pm on Sunday, September 20, 2020.

LWVP Supports Piedmont Ballot Measures TT & UU

The League of Women Voters of Piedmont supports the two Piedmont ballot measures that will be on the November ballot. The first is an increase in the City's transfer tax and the second is the authorization to sell bonds to completely rebuild the Piedmont Community Pool. We will be publishing Pros & Cons on these measures in the weeks to come.

This Week! Join the Diversity Film Series for a Remote Presentation of Suppressed: The Fight to Vote

The Appreciating Diversity Film Series (ADFS) is proud to "remotely" present Suppressed: The Fight to Vote on Thursday, September 17, 2020, at 4:00 P.M., followed by a talk and discussion with voting rights advocate Valerie Morishige. While Director Robert Greenwald's urgent and timely film focuses on Stacy Abrams's gubernatorial campaign in Georgia, it exposes rampant voter suppression that affected the outcome of the 2018 midterm election and the threat it poses to our elections all across the nation in 2020. Please join us and learn how to prevent voter suppression right here in California.  More information here.
