Did you miss it? Defending Democracy Speaker Series | Voting Rights

The League of Women Voters of Piedmont launched its Defending Democracy Speaker Series yesterday with a discussion on Voting Rights from Carol Moon Goldberg, president of the League of Women Voters of California. Thank you to those who were able to join us. If you were unable to attend, you may watch the recording of the event on our YouTube channel.

The presentation covered the history of voting rights in the U.S. and California, voter protections currently in place in California, successes the League has had in securing voting rights, federal voting rights legislation, and what we can do to support voting rights. You can read a more in depth summary of the event on our website.
