State Sen. Skinner and Asm. Wicks speak about housing.
As part of its annual legislative interview process, the League of Women Voters of Piedmont together with other local Leagues, participated in interviews of California State Senator Nancy Skinner and State Assemblymember Buffy Wicks. Legislative interviews are an opportunity for legislators to share their priorities with local Leagues and develop an understanding of League positions and priorities.

This article highlights the fourth topic of those interviews covering the following questions.

"AB 2295 identified 7000 properties, all infill, for education workforce housing.  How can districts better understand and take advantage of opportunities? Are there any additional funding carrots?  Could you explain HHAP’s current status and its relationship to the housing element? What is the impact of market-rate development on small business?"
