Join us this Wednesday for our 2023 Annual Meeting at 7pm at the Piedmont Center for the Arts!
 
This is our most important meeting of the year where LWVP Members vote to elect the new Board of Directors, approve the 2023-2024 budget, and affirm our local Leagues' positions and programs. It is imperative that we have a quorum in order to conduct business, so your attendance is important! Drinks and desserts will be provided. The business portion of the meeting will start at approximately 7:15pm.

League of Women Voters Responds to ERA Vote in the Senate
On April 27th, the League of Women Voters of the United States CEO Virginia Kase Solomón issued a statement after the US Senate failed to pass legislation to address the Equal Rights Amendment (ERA).

"We believe in the power of women to create a more perfect democracy, and that includes equal rights under the law, first and foremost."

LWVP Essay Contest
Deadline: May 7, 2023

The League of Women Voters of Piedmont is proud to be sponsoring its fourth annual essay contest open to all high school juniors and seniors who are either 1) currently enrolled in Piedmont High School or Millennium High School or 2) residents of Piedmont, California.

This year's 250-500 word essays must be submitted by May 7, 2023. There is a $500 prize awarded to the first place entry.
