Alameda County Redistricting 2021: Training Workshops

Alameda County Redistricting 2021: Training Workshops

Every 10 years, Alameda County’s supervisorial districts are redrawn.

Residents are encouraged to engage in this redistricting process by informing the Board of Supervisors about where Communities of Interest exist and/or proposing district maps. It is vital that members of the community participate so that the boundaries reflect the needs of our changing demographic. More information can be found on our new website: https://Redistricting2021.acgov.org

To launch the redistricting process, Alameda County will hold two Redistricting Training Workshops led by redistricting expert Karin Macdonald. The following topics will be presented:

  • What is Redistricting?
  • Laws Governing Redistricting
  • Criteria for Redistricting & Mapping
  • The Process: Outreach & Access
  • Timeline & Schedule
  • How to Get Involved
