LWVP hosts Town Hall on the Piedmont Community Pool project

Published on 11/4/2021

Thank you to those of you who were able to attend our Piedmont Pool Town Hall on November 4th, 2021. If you were unable to make it, you can watch the recording on our YouTube channel.

The event featured an introduction by Mayor Teddy King followed by presentations by City Administrator Sara Lillevand, Project Manager George Sanen, and Design Firm CEO Clarence Mamuyac. The last half hour of the program was dedicated to questions from the viewers. Topics covered include an overview of the design process, some highlights of design aspects of newly built neighboring community pools, bond oversight, and considerations for net zero carbon emissions.

If you would like to be more involved in the design process, there are a number of opportunities for doing so.

  1. complete the city's survey to give your input and ask questions
  2. attend one or both of the two remaining workshops on November 16th and December 14th
  3. attend and give public comment at upcoming Pool Advisory Committee meetings
