Join our Great Decisions Discussion Group on world affairs starting February 1st, 2022.
Panelists share how carbon pricing can drastically reduce carbon emissions.
The League of Women Voters of Piedmont held on September 22, 2021, a carbon pricing and climate change program. Panelists Anne Infeld, Daniel McFadden, Danny Richter, and Mike Mielke shared information about the pressing need to reduce carbon emissions, the economic effects of carbon pricing, and its political and business implications.

Climate Action in Piedmont

On February 1, 2021 the Piedmont City Council unanimously approved a second reading of proposed energy reach codes. The reach codes are local building energy codes that reach beyond statewide requirements for energy use in building design and construction. Piedmont is one of the first cities nationwide to adopt reach codes for energy efficiency and appliance electrification in new and existing residential buildings.
