Doing Our Part: Affordable Housing in Piedmont - Next Steps

Published on 11/12/2021

"Doing Our Part: Affordable Housing in Piedmont" was organized by the Piedmont Racial Equity Campaign and cosponsored by the League of Women Voters of Piedmont. If you were unable to attend, we invite you to watch a recording of the event.

Want to get more involved in advocating for more abundant, inclusive, and affordable housing in Piedmont? What to do next:

  1. Sign up to be on PREC's email list and to receive news of future events and actions. Join the PREC Housing committee by typing "Join the Housing committee" in the contact form. You'll receive invitations to PREC meetings and alerts about opportunities to support affordable housing in Piedmont.
  2. For those who didn't get to finish the Housing Element breakout exercise at the event, or would like to dig further into how the city can meet its housing goals and understand the constraints and possibilities around ADUs, zoning, duplexes, building affordable housing on city land, and more, go to Get to 587!
  3. Subscribe to the City of Piedmont's Planning and Building News to receive announcements of the City's housing policy events, and attend the city's Housing Element kickoff on December 2.
  4. Join PREC for its Fall Mingler on Saturday, 11/13, 3:30-5:30 pm at the Wildwood Elementary Lower Playground. They'll have ginger cookies and cider. Come find out what each of PREC's four committees are doing (Housing, Schools, Policing, and Diversifying City Leadership). Stop by for ten minutes or an hour!
